Creating "Ember Black" in Print and Audio

North 225A

Sunday May 26, 2019 - 10:30 am to 11:30 am

In 2016, Marieke Davis, a "visually impaired visual artist," created print and audio versions of the Prologue and first chapter of her graphic series, "Ember Black," using an all-ASU cast/crew, and print lab/sound studio facilities. Now, thanks to a grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts, she is premiering "Ember Black - Chapter 2" created in the public/private sector. Please join Marieke and her EB2 cast for this world premiere and panel discussion on the process of expanding visual art to the blind and visually impaired while striving to entertain all audiences.
