This panel will include Shelbi Webb, a 13-year-old girl and one of the youngest comic book authors in the country and her parents Jason and Maggie. Shelbi will briefly discuss the background that led to the creation of the comic. Jason and Maggie will talk about the details that go into making a comic book and the importance of the psychology behind Sugar Glider. Step by step, Shelbi and her father will discuss the ins and outs of developing characters, writing a script, finding the right artists for the job, and spreading the word and message of the comic. They will talk about the highs and lows and the lessons learned along the way. Most importantly, Shelbi will share her cause; To help change the direction of how adolescents struggle with everyday issues through her writing.
