The Comics Code made it impossible for LGBTQ characters to exist, let alone be represented in a positive light for decades. Northstar may have been Marvel Comics' first character to come out of the closet in the 1990s, but since, the company has not just introduced more LGBTQ characters, but have portrayed them in stories in compelling ways. Representation is important, and we're going to talk about the milestones of Marvel's bold choice to be inclusive, and look forward and not back.
