North 128AB Horror

Friday June 2, 2023 - 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Horror films and books have long depicted mental institutions in a negative light. Dark, sinister, frightening places where patients are subjected to brutal and inhumane treatment. These depictions are often highly sensationalized, focusing on the most extreme and terrifying aspects of these facilities. But these depictions fail to capture the reality of modern mental health care and the efforts made to provide safe and compassionate treatment to patients… As well as often missing the TRUE horrors of the age. This panel will delve into these aspects and more, through the lens of fiction vs. reality and how sometimes there is nothing more horrifying than the truth.
